FAQs

Questions, answered.

What's the difference between an estimate and an invoice?

An estimate is a quote your customer can approve from their phone. Once approved, convert it to an invoice in one click — line items, photos and address carry over.

Do my customers need an account?

No. They open your estimate or invoice from a link, text, email or QR code.

How do customers pay?

Invoices show buttons for the Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle handles you save. Money goes straight to you — Invoice Openly doesn't handle it. Built-in card payments are coming later.

Can customers leave a tip?

Yes, on invoices: none, 10%, 15%, 20% or a custom amount. Estimates don't show tips.

What is a review request?

After a job, send your customer a short thank-you with your Google or Facebook review link by text, email or QR code. You can turn on a reminder that opens the request window when you mark an invoice paid; nothing is sent until you tap Text, Email or Copy.

Can I run more than one business?

Yes. Each business has its own logo, website, payment handles, estimates and invoices — switch between them from the menu at the top.

How much will it cost?

$9 per month per login, which includes up to 5 businesses. Paid signup isn't open yet — it's coming soon.
